This home is a prime example of clean, elegant mountain design done right. Large windows, sleek lines complimented by clear cedar siding and soffit position it as the perfect Park City Retreat.
The priority the design and build team held on this project was maintaining ultra-clean lines for the fine line T&G siding. To do this, we chose clear mixed grain cedar for it's stability. The 1/8" lines have held true through all four seasons, proving the stability of kiln dried western red cedar.
To achieve an ultra clean rough textured face, all material was cross sanded. A technique of tearing the wood perpendicular to the grain with sand paper as opposed to a saw blade. This unique but reliable method gave this home the slight touch of mountain character desired.
